Unique Luxury Apartment Mila With Sea View
- Zadar, apartment on the first floor of a newbuild urban villa
Project description
The owners planned the apartment of 40 square meters in a Zadar newbuild to be adapted for tourist renting and required the adaptation to be aimed accordingly: with only basic furniture, not too much closets and storage room, with minimum details.
Our goal was to create a modern interior, exuding with luxury and elegance, easy to relax in. The task was quite comprehensive, from the selection of floor and wall coverings, sanitary facilities to the furniture and all details.
The intention was also to exploit to the maximum the view from the balcony – onto the green surroundings, most of the town and the sea.
Balcony surface of 8 square meters was transformed into a mini living room and dining room, where people could enjoy spending time throughout the day – have their first morning coffee, have dinner and socialise long into the night, enjoy beautiful view and lie around in their lounge chairs. Additional advantage is that a beautiful view of the sea is offered in a lying position, as the balcony railing is made of glass and does not obstruct the view.

Although the apartment has only 40 square meters and consists of a living room, dining room with a kitchen, constituting a unique open space, bedroom and bathroom, it looks bigger than it is, thanks to the selection of light colours and due to introducing only limited pieces of necessary furniture. .
Selected pieces of furniture were ideal for premises of smaller square footage: a round table in the living zone, transparent chairs, coffee tables and dressers with glass surfaces, offering effective reflection, corner sofa. Additionally, multifunctional furniture was selected, such that could be adapted to the available space.
A mattress topper is kept in a storage box within the corner sofa and it can be laid onto the open sofa, making sleeping as comfortable as on a real bed.
The furniture in the bedroom was made to measure, as was the bed which could be, when necessary, transformed from a double bed into two single ones, each for one person.
Available space in the apartment as a whole was used maximally, meaning some contents were completely concealed, to prevent the small interior to be additionally crowded.
Bathroom furniture was also made to measure and it includeed a closet with concealed washing machine and boiler, laundry basket, as well as all cleansing agents and the like. Shelves were positioned behind the whole length of the mirror, which conveniently offered ample storing space. The entrance was also used a storage space.
The closet at the entrance was made to measure and concealed an ironing board, strongbox, vacuum cleaner, shoe racks and coat hangers.
Final result
Modern and functional small apartment, with a touch of elegance and luxury.
